We did a long walk today - 5.7 miles. From the wharf to the St Andrews Blockhouse historical site, to Ministers Island. We didn't enter Ministers Island because they wanted $15 each admission fee and we weren't going to do the trails anyway since we had walked there. It was just fun to walk across the "Bar" road that connects to the island only at low tide.

From Ministers Island, we took the Van Horne hike/bike trail to Katy's Cove for a swim. Yes, we finally got to swim! Katy's Cove is a warm saltwater swimming cove created in 1906. Then walk back into town.

Late lunch at the Kennedy Inn - poutine...yum. Harry tried the Keith's IPA brewed in Halifax. It was actually really nice and not too hoppy. Dollar store and pharmacy errands. Kati asked the pharmacist about her very expensive UC medication. The answer was that yes, its available and its about 1/4 of the US price, but the prescription from the doctor is not acceptable since he does not have Canadian prescription license. Ugh.

Back to the boat for relaxing and recovering and a light late dinner. Then back to town for a small grocery run and ice cream. Heading out midday tomorrow.
