Harbormaster, here known as a "wharfinger", placed us on a mooring close to the wharf and welcomed us to St Andrews. We dinghied to the wharf to explore the town. A bit along Water Street, then up King Street. Past All Saints Anglican Church, St Andrews Baptist Church, then St Andrews Catholic Church, all within 2 blocks. Then past the Loyalist Burial Ground up to Kingsbrae Gardens. The gardens were lovely even in mid-August. When the temps don't go up over 80 degrees much, if ever, the flowers stay beautiful all thru the summer.

Back to the boat, then back to town (without Bruce much to his dismay) for dinner at the Red Herring Pub - fish & chips (haddock) and sauteed scallops - and laundry at the Washboard Laundromat.

We love this town already.
