A large part of Great Wass Island is owned by the Nature Conservancy. There are a set of trails that connect together to make a 4.5 mile loop. The loop includes pine forests, freshwater streams, granite balds, blueberry patches, rocky shorelines with amazing views, and rocky, sandy, and marshy beach areas. These trails could rival Acadia's!
