We got directions and walked to the Wiggly Bridge ("world's smallest suspension bridge", or so the locals claim), Fisherman's Walk, and York Village. A lovely walk, though a bit longer than expected since we took a few wrong turns.

York is super - beautiful houses, historic buildings, old cemetery, river, and village with gas station, convenience store, liquor store, laundromat, hospital, and nice places to eat. We had huge yummy cheeseburgers and hand-cut fries at the Fat Tomato Grill.

We couldn't do the Cliff Walk because no dogs allowed, so after a few hours of exploring, we went back to the boat.

The sun came out around 4:30!

Nice evening and dinner. Then Harry took Bruce ashore at the rocks next to the beach. High tide, big waves, and it was very hard for him to get back off thru the breaking waves. Pretty much swamped the dinghy. So this learning experience was the first time trying to negotiate real beach waves with the dinghy. Not pleasant.

We were rocking & rolling in the waves, so once he got back and relaxed a bit, and drained the water out of the dinghy, we decided to set a stern anchor. This way we could align the boat to face the waves instead of getting them from the side. Harry set up the extra Fortress anchor, then dinghied it out 100+ feet, dropped it, and then we pulled it in tight to get the boat's angle to the waves right. This worked well and was a positive learning experience.
