Harry prepared the boat last night for Tropical Storm Elsa which was expected to start in around 9 AM and last thru the day. Rain, winds steady at 30 gusting to near 60 expected. We took down the bimini and connector, all the cockpit cushions, and Harry secured the jibs and main.

Little rain overnight, wind started up in the early morning. It didn't really rain at all during the day. Winds were sustained 20 - 25+ but the gusts didn't go over 35. There was a bit of drama when a 70+' sloop - Halcyon from the BVIs - became very unstable at her mooring. Swinging back and forth and threatening to take off altogether. Two 45' Coast Guard boats came and attached to her and took her to a Nantucket pier.

All done by late afternoon and the sun came out. We did well. Had an early dinner and went ashore for ice cream ($7.50 for a small...the prices here are ridiculous).
