The photos from today are in the Boston photo album.
A different view of Boston today...all along the waterfront. Boston has, and is continuing to add to, a Harborwalk that covers 40+ miles of waterfront, according to the brochure. Our marina in Charlestown is on it.
We packed a lunch, put on the sunscreen on this beautiful 75-degree sunny day, and took off across the Charlestown Bridge. We picked up the Harborwalk downstream of the Bridge and followed it along wharves, through parks, around Coast Guard buildings, along marinas, etc. From the North End, along Downtown, and to the newer Seaport section of the city. We saw the marinas that wanted twice as much for our 3 days dockage as our Constitution Marina in Charlestown. No thanks.
We ate our lunch in a Seaport park, then walked across the Congress St Bridge, past the Boston Tea Party Museum and ships, and up Summer St through Downtown to the Park Street T station. Back to North Station and then home to the boat.
In the evening, Harry's mom's friend, Sue Denison, came to the boat for dinner and conversation. She is very nice and we had a lovely time. Once we walked her back to her car, we continued back over the Bridge to the North End so we could finish our last Boston day with a proper cannoli. This was procured at Parziale's Bakery and did not disappoint.
